Institution Subscribers

Institutional subscriptions are controlled by IP address.

You are currently accessing PROLA from the IP address: 38.103.63.18.

This IP address is not in our of institutional subscriber list of IP's. Many institutions access the web through proxy servers which are shared with other institutions. For example, many academic institutions in the UK use the JaNET network. This interferes with proper authentication and exceptions for prola.aps.org and other APS online services must be made by the institution's network managers. APS services are hosted at the following IP ranges:

Main PROLA site:64.124.183.1-62
APS Ridge, New York site:149.28.1.*
APS Cornell mirror site:128.84.158.92
APS online journals hosted by AIP192.58.150.35

Network adminstrators should put these exceptions into their proxy configurations.

Many people come into PROLA by following links. You may set a preference for which APS mirror you go to when coming in via our links by going to http://prola.aps.org/info/mymirror.html.

If you believe you have a valid subscription, or if you need further assistance, please e-mail prola@aps.org. Please be sure to include the IP address you are accessing PROLA from (it is specified above). Changes in IP ranges for institutional subscriptions should be conveyed by the librarian to online@aip.org.
